Symantec Endpoint Protection Antivirus is installed on University-owned machines by either Customer Engagement & Support or a departmental support technician. If the software is not running on your work computer (Do I have Symantec already installed?), please call your local technician or Customer Engagement & Support to have it installed.  

Students, faculty, and staff may obtain Symantec Endpoint Protection Antivirus for their personal computers at no extra charge by downloading the unmanaged version from Softweb (https://softweb.cc.stonybrook.edu). Whenever a new version of Symantec is rolled out, Stony Brook packages the upgrade and makes it available to the campus community via Softweb (https://softweb.cc.stonybrook.edu).  For personal machines, it is up to the owner to ensure they have the latest version of Symantec.
