Supported Operating Systems
Apply the latest operating system patches supplied by Microsoft and Apple to make sure your system is running optimally.
Windows 11 (recommended): Ongoing (Supported Standard)
Windows 10: Until 10/2025
Windows 8 and earlier: No longer supported
macOS 14.x (Sonoma)*: Until 11/2026
macOS 13.x (Ventura) (recommended): Until 11/2025
macOS 12.x (Monterey): Until 11/2024
macOS 11.x (Big Sur): Until 11/2023
macOS 10.15 (Catalina) and earlier: No longer supported
*University applications have not yet been tested with macOS Sonoma, so there may be compatibility issues.

License Agreements
DoIT and SUNY routinely negotiate contracts with software vendors to help students, faculty, and staff gain access to academic and administrative software tools to help them be more productive.
Acquiring Software on Campus
Software is available for purchase or acquisition through a number of different venues on campus depending on the software.
