Touch Button System Classroom

This is a general help guide for all classrooms with this style touch panel. While the steps and location of buttons are the same regardless of which style room you are in, there may be slight discrepancies in font, color, options and icons, dependent on the slight differences in hardware.

Step 1: Power on and/or connect your device.

Option A. If using the installed computer, wave the mouse to wake up the computer.

Log in using your NetID and password.

 

Option B. If using your own device,  plug in the necessary cables.

In a Computer Station Classroom, locate the Aux Input plate on the side of the media station.

 

Step 2: Locate the touch panel.

 

Step 3: Turn on the projector by tapping the power icon on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

 

Step 4: A "Wait" Icon will flash on the touch panel while the system warms up.

 

Step 4a: The 'Power' button on the lower left-hand corner of the screen will now appear blue to indicate the projector is on and the source options will appear on the screen.

 

Step 5: Select a Source

Tap the necessary icon once to select your source. The currently selected source will be highlighted blue.


Optional steps to navigate system controls:

  • Adjust volume at the bottom of the screen

  • To momentarily blank the projector but not turn if off, tap the 'Image Mute' button on the bottom of the screen.

When Image Mute is active, the button on the bottom of the screen will flash on and off.

Step 5: To power off the system, press and holdthe 'Power' button in the lower-right hand corner for 3 seconds.

Step 5a:  A "Wait" icon will flash on the touch panel while the system powers off.
