Members of the campus community with an active Pharos account can send their print jobs to the Print From Anywhere Queue from a Web browser.  To send print jobs to the Pharos Queue from a Web browser, follow these steps:

1. In any web browser, go to https://print.stonybrook.edu

2. Log in using your NetID and NetID Password.  (Starting April 13, 2021 you will be required to have a DUO account.  Register here.)

3. In the upper-left corner of the window, click Upload.

  • Please note that only certain file types can be uploaded: PDF, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, image files and text (.csv, .rtf & .txt).

4. Browse your computer for the document you want to upload and click Open.

5. Once the upload is complete, your print job is ready to be released at a Pharos Release Station.

Please note:

  • The Upload a document feature is not available on mobile browsers.
  • We recommend setting up your printing options and saving the file as a PDF, and printing the PDF rather than the original document, otherwise you cannot change printing options (single/double sided printing, printing more than one page per sheet, etc.)
  • You can upload from an Android device by using the Google Chrome app.  Within Chrome, enable the "Request desktop site" feature from the Chrome menu.
  • Printing from an iOS device is limited. Directions on how to print a webpage from an iOS device can be found here: How do I print a webpage from my iOS device to Print From Anywhere?
  • Even if a filetype is supported it does not gaurantee the printing system can print it properly, we recommend saving your document online to the cloud (ie google drive, dropbox, etc) or email it to yourself in case you need to send the job again.
