Resolving the Issue of Not Being Able To Add Someone as an Alternative Host in Zoom

If you can't add someone with an @stonybrook.edu email address as an alternative host in Zoom, s/he might need to sign out and back into Zoom to reclaim the license or might be an affiliate with a basic, not licensed, Zoom Account.

If you can't add someone with an @stonybrook.edu email address as an alternative host in Zoom (especially around the start of the semester), ask that person to sign out and back into Zoom on stonybrook.zoom.us to reclaim his/her Zoom license and then try adding him/her again (see below).

Note: You can only add other licensed @stonybrook.edu users' email addresses as alternative hosts, so if the person you're trying to add signs out and back into Zoom and you still can't add them as an alternative host, that person might have a Basic instead of Licensed Zoom Account (Affiliates, for example, have Basic Zoom Accounts).
